For forty years, astrology was my craft, my vocation — an intense, consuming devotion to understanding the deeper patterns that guide our lives. When the inevitable burnout finally overtook me almost a year ago, I stepped away, unsure whether I would ever return. But the break was its own teaching.
During long months of solitude, hiking across wild country, away from screens and noise, something shifted. With distance from the digital world, the mind quiets… clarity returns. That clarity revealed a calling I could no longer ignore: The Hadean archetypes — Orcus, Ixion, and now Achlys — are asking to be understood.
Achlys, the newest of these distant Plutinos, whispers of uncomfortable truths, hidden fears, and the crisis of perception shaping our time. While the world becomes more connected yet more isolated, more informed yet more manipulated, Achlys marks the threshold between delusion and lucid awareness.
